Jest Goa

This beautiful beach town never ceases to amaze me. The images in this post were shot at Palolem Beach, South Goa.

This was the immediate view from our shack at Palolem. The blues, yellows and greens pretty much dominated our trip to this rustic beach.

Our accommodation was essentially a thatched bamboo hut. Very inexpensive and very comfortable. Blended in effortlessly with the surroundings.

A panoramic view of the beach.

Lone hill in the sea.

Straight out of heaven, maybe?

Same heaven, different perspective and color palette.

An orange at the horizon.

So many layers of color. It was quite an exemplary sight, the sunset sky.

The Gelf

I would like to start my photo blog with pictures shot in Abu Dhabi and the whereabouts. This first post will be about the beautiful Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

I used a Nikon D3100 DSLR with a 18-55mm lens to shoot these photos. Some amount of post photo processing has been carried out on these images.

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, built in honor of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His final resting place is located on the grounds beside the same mosque.

Beautiful engravings on Marble.

A thousand pillars of the Mosque in color.

A thousand pillars of the Mosque in B/W.

Unto Infinity.

The dome, as seen from the inside.

The beautiful sky enticing people to the place of worship.

A symmetrical reflection of the evening sky.

The mosque at a distance, as seen from the Shangri-La.
